Our team consisted of two Greek students and two German students. We decided to be an activist group which wants to improve the cityscape with naturalistic Street Art.
IDEA
The basic idea of our team was to beautify urban neighborhoods. Since there is often not much space for green areas, we used murals showing plants and birds. We also intended to combine graffiti with realistic plants.
MESSAGE
At the beginning of our animation, we want to show a current problem in big cities like Athens. Usually in an urban neighborhood there is mostly not enough room for greenspaces. The city administration destroys nature to build more living space and that‘s the reason why we lose our beautiful nature.
CONCEPT
We want to start a social movement with ”PLANeT“ – a young activist and Street Art group. Our goal is to beautify run-down and vandalized places.
Every citizen could become a part of this movement by planting flowers, trees and other plants. We also would like to use colorful and nature-based Street Art to make the city more attractive.
It is important for us that Street Art is shown in an authentic manner with all its facets. To symbolize the beauty of nature we have chosen bright colors. Sound effects and a soundtrack that was created by us emphasises our message.
